The following testimonies I copied from WMBB News 13 website (here) They're not endorsing any particular E-cigarette brand just that E-cigarettes do help you to quit smoking.

We’re a week into the New Year and that means, for many, New Year’s resolutions are in full swing. For those looking to kick the habit of smoking, there’s encouraging news. There are more over the counter products than ever to help. Pat Johnson of Bayou George is smoke free and glad to share the secret to her success. “I can’t believe it’s happening. I really can’t believe I quit.” After smoking on and off for 50 years, Pat Johnson has put down her cigarettes for good. She tried Wilburton and the cold turkey method before finding what finally worked for her…e cigarettes. Johnson says, “This is what they call the E cigarette. Its battery operated and it has filters. You start off with 16 milligrams in the filter then you go down to 12 then 6 now I’m on 3 and I’ve just ordered the zero milligrams so there will be no nicotine.” The step down nicotine program is similar to others on the market. There are lozenges and patches that also offer smaller amounts of nicotine minus the tobacco. Johnson says the difference for her is actually having something in her hand. “What it is with smoking, you miss something in your hand. You can inhale this, exhale, it’s just vapor. There’s no smoke whatsoever so when I get that urge I’ve got this.” The website helpguide.org offers these tips when trying to stop smoking: they use the acronym “start.” First set a date. Next, tell family, friends, and co-workers that you plan to quit. Then anticipate and plan for the challenges you’ll face while quitting. Next, remove cigarettes and other tobacco products from your home, car and work. Finally, talk to your doctor about getting help to quit. Johnson says, “The idea that I’m not addicted to it is the best part to me.” You can find the tips by clicking this link.

I quit with the e cigarette over 6 months ago. I smoked 2 packs a day for almost 30 years. Now I just vape my Silver Bullet and my Chuck!! I think every smoker should vape instead. It tastes better than real cigarettes too. I also got my sister and my best friend on e cigarettes. Posted by boochips on 01/09 at 02:18 AM

Congratulations to Pat for quitting smoking! I also quit using the e-cigarette, after smoking for more than 30 years. “Miracle” is the right word for it. It’s the only thing that ever worked for me, and it’s been 10 months now. I can breathe again. My senses of taste and smell have returned. There’s no odor, no ashes, no butts. I couldn’t be more pleased! Posted by Treece on 01/08 at 12:32 AM

I also quit using the e-cigarette! I smoked for more than 40 years, about 1 1/2 packs a day. No stress, no cravings, no pain. It’s a  miracle.
